The Electronic Key Cabinet solves a specific problem the rest of the fleet stack doesn't: making the physical key match the digital booking. Used in council depots, government fleet bays, shared corporate carparks, and any environment where your staff share access to multiple vehicles.

Booked the vehicle? The cabinet releases the key. No booking, no key.

Deployment realities

The cabinet is the path to booking-governed access on mixed-age fleets, leased vehicles, and any unit where keyless retrofit isn't economic. It coexists with Sensium TRACKbox and keyless modules on the rest of the fleet - both report into the same Sensium Connect+ booking system.

Sensium’s TRACKbox assists fleet managers to measure, monitor and take action to protect their vehicles and drivers. The TRACKbox is a fundamental part of Sensium’s fleet management offering. With a TRACKbox installed, you have more control over your vehicles for your pool booking arrangement.

The vehicle’s location, speed, heading, engine hours, idle time, CAN bus telematics, and driver behaviour attached to a DriverID are all monitored and recorded for analysis. When installed with a keyless entry module, the TRACKbox allows you to more easily manage remote locking and unlocking of your cars.

Effectively, there are two different types: the $249 inc GST GPS tracker that is a great entry-level option and our TRACKbox which is a far more powerful option. The TRACKbox allows you to add-on extra features, it's more secure, more accurate and requires professional installation.
With the $249 inc GST GPS tracker, there are two options: DIY and professional installation.
The DIY option is literally a plug and play. We can show you how to do it with a video or a guide book.
The professional installation is a hardwired option that connects directly to your vehicle's computer. You do get more information about the vehicle with this option, and drivers can't remove it.
We have free email and phone support available through extended trading hours.
Yes, the system will work for owned or leased vehicles.
Yes, if you sell your vehicle, simply remove the GPS tracker (or have a pro do it if you've got the hard-wired version) and then install it in your new vehicle.
You can call our free support and have the vehicle data changed over, at no extra cost.
Our GPS tracker will work in any "OBD2 compliant" vehicle. That means any petrol vehicle built for Australia/NZ after 2006 and any diesel car/ute/van built for Australia/NZ after 2007. If for some weird reason it's not compatible, we'll refund you.
You can cancel at any time, without any cancellation fees.
We offer a "pay as you go" service and your cancellation will come into effect only after the end of your term (which is one month, for most people).
If you cancel a monthly plan, you’ll have access to Sensium Connect for the rest of that month and won’t be charged the following month. There are no refunds for part of months.
Sensium uses the Spark 4G network, which has the best coverage in NZ. If you need a satellite version for travelling in remote areas, give us a call and we can talk through your options.
